Mentimeter Questions – What have you been doing at home?

I would like to learn more about how you are spending your time at home and what interesting activities you are doing. Are you helping your parents and guardians do some house chores? Or maybe have you discovered a new hobby or talent due to the amount of free time you have? https://www.menti.com/6g4c7s43mb

Chef in our Class!

As you all already know, we are doing a topic which is related to food and the children were interested in the area of where food is made (the kitchen), we thought it would be an interesting experience for the children. On the 16th of March, we will be welcoming Chef Marco who works in a very popular and elegant hotel which is the Radisson Hotel.
During his session in class, Chef Marco will be showing and helping the children learn some basic safety techniques such as chopping the vegetables, what to do if the kitchen is on fire and some others. He will also show the children a slideshow in which he will be portraying some of the foods he prepares at the hotel which are both healthy and delicious. After the PowerPoint presentation, the children will choose at least two of the meals shown to them and with the help of Chef Marco, we will be doing them in class. We will inform you of the chosen meals and their ingredients later on together with the date of when the cooking will be done.
Thank you for your cooperation,
Ms Semira.

Cooking Activity: Fruit Pancakes

Dear Parents/ Guardians,

During this week, we will be conducting a cooking activity. The children themselves came up with the idea of making a healthy version of pancakes and instead of using unhealthy spreads we will be using fresh fruits. During this cooking activity, the children will be able to improve different skills including their spatial ability and fine-motor skills which improve hand-eye coordination.

This is the ingredients list:
Flour, eggs, milk, vanilla extract, strawberries, blueberries and pineapples.
Please notify us if any of the above ingredients are allergic to your child.

Thank you for your cooperation,
Ms Semira.
